A cup of coffee, a notebook filled with colorfully scribbled ideas, bold photography on canvas, books on design and typography and a trusty laptop set the scene as Reggae plays from Alexa and blankets the room with one more layer of inspiration. It is full of imagination and potential. It is her process for soaking up ideas from every avenue of life and turning it into a digital dream; bridging the gap between the inexpressible and the visible. It is translating abstract thoughts into artistic expressions
and creating a visual that captures a feeling, a message, a personality. Cheerfully stuffed for hours on end behind her computer, The Blonde, a.k.a Amy, loves the evolution of design.
Blonde Concepts originated as an invitation and announcement company, mostly as an outlet for creativity. After some years of being completely engrossed in design and computer graphics, Amy evolved her business into a viable design studio. With a unique artistic drive and a strong background in business, Blonde Concepts was created to serve as a perfect synergy between art and industry. Understanding complex marketing principles compliments Amy’s artistic notions and bridges the gap between the creativity and practicality of brand design. The endless possibilities a new project offers are invigorating. Amy loves working with clients to expand their own creative horizons and tuning them into their unique inspirations. For Amy, good design is not only visually appealing; it sparks interest in the audiences’ brains.
Amy studied at the University of Miami, earning a degree in International Finance and Marketing and an MBA with a specialization in Marketing. But she did not end her UM career there! Amy currently instructs at the University teaching Marketing: Marketing for Entrepreneurs and Digital Marketing. She is also the Academic Director for both the Professional and Online MBA programs and instructs in the programs as well. Lots of exciting projects are always on the horizon.
Her favorite hobby: parenting. So when she isn’t ogling over colors or fawning over fonts or grading papers, she is cycling with her three children around the Grove; creating adventures and finding inspiration along the way.
And, as you can see, she actually is a blonde, with hair that drapes in signature, sometimes crazy, locks that take on a life and personality of their own.
